“Inspiration Blooms” at the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show
Tuesday, 18 March 2014
We love this time of year (March), where the Carlton Gardens get transformed by the-best-in-the business into an incredible wonderland of water features, stunning stone backdrops, shady retreats and gorgeous garden beds. All sustainably designed and often including more repurposed materials than new. Not to mention all the plants, gardening supplies and floral eye candy your heart could desire.
Because we like to do things a bit differently Thrive Flowers & Events, once again, combined flowers with performance to create live roaming floral art for nearly every day of the show. Dressed head-to-toe in real flowers and adorned with trademark flower bustles, we were literally a wandering exhibit, aimed at redefining people's expectations of flower arranging, stretching the boundaries of floral art and inspiring all age groups.
As the first ever floral designers not restricted to a static design space we are proud to have had such and impact on so many people; our floral outfits defiantly created a stir. We felt so privileged to have the opportunity to bring something that we love into the midst of so many appreciative people and we thank everyone for their support and kind words.
Referred to by industry stalwarts as one of the most innovative uses of floral design that the show has seen in all of its 14 years, we'll have to make sure we create even bigger and better things next year!
