The Complete Floristry Course is not government-certified. Thrive Flower School is a private school, not a nationally recognised training provider, which means we are not government funded and do not follow the national training package.

This allows us the flexibility to teach current, industry-relevant skills that reflect modern floristry practice.

Floristry is not a regulated industry, so formal qualifications are not required to begin a career or business in floristry. This course is designed to equip students with practical skills and relevant knowledge for the industry today, shaped by our experience as florists, business owners and former TAFE floristry educators.

Yes. Students receive a Thrive Flower School certificate upon successful completion of the course.

Upon successful completion, students graduate with strong practical floristry skills and a Thrive Flower School certificate. The course is designed to prepare students for work within a floristry business or to begin building a business of their own.

Employers look for a combination of practical skills, a strong portfolio, reliability, confidence and a willingness to learn. Hands-on experience and well-presented work can also help students stand out when entering the industry.

There are no formal written assessments. However, students are expected to complete their portfolio project to a satisfactory standard in order to graduate, and minimum attendance requirements apply. Please refer to the course terms and conditions for full details.
